Letter from the Principal

Dear Gates Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are returning to Gates or joining us for the first time, I am excited to welcome you to our Tiger Community.

Our theme this year is “Around the World: Passport to Learning!” This theme reflects our mission to educate and empower all students to reach their full potential. Just as a passport opens doors to new places and experiences, we want learning to open doors to new opportunities for every Gates Tiger. Throughout our journey, we will continue to encourage our students to be respectful, responsible, and safe as they learn, grow, and explore.

I am honored to serve as the new Principal of Gates Elementary and look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, families, and staff. Alongside Assistant Principals Viressa Davis and Jaclyn Waldvogel, I am committed to partnering with you to ensure every student feels a sense of belonging and can thrive.

I am excited about the journey ahead and all that we will accomplish together. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and new experiences!
